Ovie O

ILLEGAL MUSIC IS OUT!!! Best News of the past week! All those in Naija, don't dull yourself o! Cop that SoundCity Blast Magazine sharply sharply... even if its the only edition you end up buying.
This boy is the "M"ess"I"ah of African hiphop.

True

Am I the only one thats see a problem with the amount of Material MI is bringing out. There is such a thing as too much. I love MI. I hope they fully understand what they are doing.

Like the track.

tmonei

da track is just there....

theChiaman

I love it. don't really see a problem with M.I puttin out a lot of music. M.I mania hasnt reached saturation point, at all.

tmonei

@the chairman...saturation point is a second away if he is not careful......

bsb

Choc boyz indeed. lmao.
This is a cool track too bad I aint in Naija to get d mixtape.
M.I is too gud for my liking now.

bsb

How can these people be comparing Naeto C and M.I.??? What is thurr to compare??

Boondock

Wat pple fail to see in M.I. is that he is far more than just a sick lyricist...if you go back and listen to all his tracks, you will notice a musicality to his songs that first draws u in, then the lyrics just cement the deal, I know it is the producers that make the beats, but Im 1000% sure he supervises, makes suggestions and approves...little wonder why I enjoy his own songs more than songs he features in (this might be the case for some of u too) even though he still comes hard in those featured songs too.

I love this track, the lyrics are on point, but wat I like most is the bridge/hook..."hey baby Im feeling like, fast cars and flashing lights, do u wanna hang tonight? Take a seat inside my car, chocolate city is where we are..." the "anatomy" of those words control the song, and bring it all to life for me.

I don't think he is near saturation, if it seems so to you, it might means you are not hearing songs from other naija hiphop artists that gets to you the way his does, in which case those artists need to up their game. If you even look at the American hiphop/rap industry, u will notice that Jay-Z dropped albums every year for 10years straight with mixtapes and collabos in between, and look where he's at today...definitely far from saturated.

With that been said, M.I., keep the flag flying...

When the track started and I heard the Jay-z beat, I got worried. I personally want to see Naija artists sample and reuse our own music as there is a wealth of material to take advantage of.

Anyway, once the song got into it, I appreciated the beat because they actually made this song very unique.

And, my goodness, I continue to like Jesse Jagz. Anyway, keep it up people!

sirrockyfela

Damn they remade d beat.. its of d shizzle.

RocNaija

Saturation works for people now.. Lil Weezy put out tons of mixtapes and featured on nearly everyone's single out there before he dropped carter 3.
He even dropped a mixtape right after Carter 3 which people thought would dull his sales but he's triple platinum and counting!
