The Premise:
A guy and his girlfriend took the HIV test. His test result turned out negative while his babe tested positive. Now, he is asking the group for advice on how he should proceed with the relationship... Below is an excerpt of a reply from one of the readers...
Excerpt
(One advisor says):
"Bros,
You have nothing to fear about. I am -ve, my ex girlfie is +ve, my present girlfie is +ve. We sleeps together though protected.
I broke with
my ex because i caught with other 3 guys at 3 different times and she
denied it. She later came back and told me that it was temptation that
put her into that not because she is +ve. Health experts have told me
how to get a child from her if i want. If the lady care and respect you
much, go ahead and marry her.
I have seen such marriage and they are very happy. This is when the lady need you most.
Who knows if God will hear her prayer of healing through u?"
I was shocked and puzzled to read this particular reply. Now I am sure there is a sub-culture of individuals with that particular mindset. I disagree with this type of thinking. If you ask me, it is pure selfishness bringing a child into this world with the risk of them contacting diseases let alone HIV from BIRTH...

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND PEOPLE AND STAY WARM!
It is very possible for a hiv +ve mother to have a hiv -ve child,...Medicine is very advanced now, as long as the mother adheres to advice and medication, there is a very low chance of the baby catching the infection.
I don't see anything wrong with the thinking, not selfish to me at all....only if the child will be infected, which is very unlikely nowadays

With drugs there should be about a 7% chance of HIV +ve mother given birth to a -ve baby.
That doesnt mean it is advisable for the guy to go and take the chance sha.
Just my two cents.
