These are all Assumptions...
Most occurrences that take place are impartial. What I am saying is that every event/action that occurs is neutral. The neutral state changes when we (men and women) place meaning on the events/action. I think what shapes our meaning (per situation) is our mindset. Our mindset is usually formed from upbringing, people around us (friends, family, siblings, teachers, institutions etc), belief (limiting/infinite, religious, laws, thoughts etc), real life experiences (what you have seen happen in the past) etc
The biggest influence on our mindset is the environment in which you grew up. It basically is the most critical factor that influences what meaning we place on things that we see or shit that happens to us. Now, let us assume that a bunch of young men happen to come across an attractive female who has slept with a gang of dudes in the span of one month... Again this young lady's actions are neutral series of events. Obviously each guy will view it differently. A worldly, normal and healthy young man might see it as an opportunity to put his bid in (so to speak), in the hopes of smashing that ass and after wards go on about his business. If he is a religious individual, he might condemn her actions and might even attempt to rebuke the stank demons that reside within this young lady. A man that is a sucker for love might see this woman and think that she needs to be SAVED, he may get angry at all the men who have slept with her (thinking that they forced her hand) and will advice her to stop the behavior and during the course of rendering advice, he might fall in love with this female. A young man with a pimp mentality might see this female and ask himself "I hope she is getting paid accordingly for all this ass she is giving up" and may step to her in an effort to recruit her into his stable so that he can help her get paid. So all the above mentioned guys will act according to whatever meaning their mindset has defined. They are just reacting to the situation with what they believe the world should be like. Their realities are different and above all, their perception of this situation influences their action.
Our perception can also be influenced by how the law is implemented wherever each individual resides. The law will force you to change your mindset whether you like it or not, in a lot of cases. There are some countries where the law is not that heavily enforced so most people living in that environment will take the law into their own hands and hardly face any criminal repercussions. In reverse, there are places where you will pay dearly for breaking the law if you are found guilty. In the States, it appears as though the women have the law on their side when it comes to marriage. Now, if a wife is mad at her husband and does not feel like seeing his face at night, it is normal for her to order her husband to sleep on the couch and he will oblige. Now, most females in the United States see absolutely nothing wrong with this, in fact if you ask them, they will tell you it is a normal thing. Now, let’s view the same action in Nigeria. Let us assume that a female in Nigeria, orders her husband to sleep on the couch tonight because she is MAD at him. LOL! More than likely if any one does sleep on the couch it might end up being the female. I’m sure you can figure out the repercussions in these examples as it pertains to the law… If not ask me later
Even different actions that we see as tragedies can be seen by someone else as victory. Again it has to do with what meaning we place on these actions or events. The bombings in Israel, the Israelis see it as a tragedy, but the Islamic extremists see it as a beautiful thing.
So when you are dealing with an individual and you think he/she is acting STUPID (the meaning you place on his actions) don't blame him/her relax and just realize that you are placing meaning on their actions based on your mindset. That is before you call them a FOOL!
Have a safe weekend.
