So if you did not know, the World Music Awards (I just found out there was such an award show) took place in Monaco, France this past weekend. Surprisingly, Nigeria's own Tuface Idibia and Sasha were not only in attendance, but they also performed at the pre-party show.
Naija music will soon be a force to be reckoned with on a global level. I'm telling you, these new artists are creative and hungry, not to mention the consistency of good music coming from the already established artists.
I will see if I can get a hold of the videos of Sasha and Tuface's performance.

Bros! Abeg no vex o! but the World Music Awards has been on for many many years now, with the Prince of Monaco not missing a single event. The WMA and the UEFA Super Cup are permanent fixtures on his calender. I recall watching it (on M-Net)in 2000 when Femi Kuti performed Bang Bang Bang, and also won the Best African Artist award. D guy shook the crowd like a quake (even the Backstreet Boys were dancing). I think Koffi Olomide got d next one... Yankee don cut me off since then.

Plus I heard Kelly Hansome was there too... Did he win an award? Not sure... Could be a rumor too!

Saw the pre-award show live on AIT on saturday. Kelly Hansome performed too. Sasha looked radiant as usual. They showed the award live last nite also but wasnt feeling it at all. Preferred the pre-award show.

@ Chino I doubt Kelly Hansome won an award. I havent heard a worthy track from that dude yet...
@Wienna did 2face or Sasha actually win an award because the pic clearly shows 2face holding an award..
